Federal Orphan Works legislation is again sneaking up on copyright owners, but it is possible the latest version will be less dangerous than a bill that died in a House of Representatives committee in 2006.
Word from Washington DC indicates that new Orphan Works legislation could be introduced simultaneously in both houses of Congress this spring.
The original legislation was strongly opposed by organizations representing image creators and distributors, including groups representing the stock photography industry.
