ImageThe Industry Measure has found that increasing numbers of stock photography buyers are making their purchases from a single image distributor.

In a report issued this date, the company that studies trends in the creative industries said "single-sourcing" is a growing trend in all major image buying groups except for internet design and development firms. These companies are increasingly shopping more than one stock distributor.

Single-sourcing by Internet design and development firms fell from 29 percent to 27 percent, The Industry Measure said in a prepared release.

The Industry Measure said internet design and development firms comprise the largest group of stock image buyers in terms of volume and dollars. This group purchases more stock imagery than the other three categories combined, the research firm said.
